From the Heart

My heart and mind is with everyone involved in the Occupy Wall Street protests, from L.A. to Chicago to New York. The love and loyalty of the sun and moon to all who recognize that our political system is broken and all who oppose the continued indebting of our children and grandchildren.

Those who make their voices heard and challenge authority will predictably be mocked by the servants of power.

It is a grand tradition in this world.

True words through and through.

I think that wall is just a stupid idea and more money wasted.

True that, Ed. I truly wish I could be there.

I've seen my little IRA account (well, it was hard as hell for me to build it up for many years and it was a LOT of money to me) dwindle to almost nothing while those greedy, heartless fatcats are taking home multi-million dollar 'bonuses' annually. That is seriously WRONG! We're sick and tired of being screwed and we're not going to take it any more!!!! xo

I respect their right to have their voices heard--something that has been successful at least in the places that I frequent.

I actually enjoy politics very much. What I don't enjoy are the games played when a generation of hard working people lives are on the line.

Servants of power...

They seem to be doing a good protest. I am not sure of the details though? I should pay attention!

Wise words, sir. And "mocked by the servants of power" is tragically already coming true.

You have no idea how right you are. All us "little people" are seeing the effects of the selfish actions performed by the "big people". They are making bank, while we are working hard for almost nothing.

ed,

You know how much I admire your ability to distill your words down until they are thick and weighty. This is so well said - you speak for many. Thanks.

thanks for your comments on my post about this :) my day job is recruiting so i get to see how much i hire people for and it's amazing the differentials at some of the companies i've worked for in the past between the folks at the ground floor and the folks in the offices. manufacturing was by far the worst - minimum wage folks working their tails off to report to folks making ridiculous amounts more reporting to folks making even more. i was talking to my roommate last night about how blase it makes us, how it takes away hope. especially in a system still using the antiquated electora college and two party system instead of the two top vote-getters (imagine no political parties...). thanks again for your comments on my blogs :)

Hi Ed,
I have no idea what the Occupy Wall Street protest are but i think it is great that people can express their feelings and believes.

Not everywhere in the world people can do that...
