Out of Silliness

I am a silly dreamer.

I dream of leaving no debt to our children and grandchildren.

I dream of ending wars most people oppose.

I dream of a very simple and fair taxation system.

I dream of people witnessing an in-depth discussion of these issues by knowledgeable people across the political spectrum.

Among the silliest of dreamers, I tell you.

I don’t plan to write more about this. I want to return to more fun, creative writing. World events get to me sometimes. If you don’t agree with where I’m coming from these last couple posts, I’m extra thankful because how we treat each other is how the world goes.

I too am a silly dreamer, I dream of things which don't transpire... but I never give up hope. Without hope and dreams what does one have in life?

what indeed, darlin.

Ah, where would we be without dreams? Stuck in a reality that should not fit. Dreams are doors. Silliness? Well, that I just plain like.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, Ed.

Dream on baby..

but that does not come out right, I wonder why, dreams do come true because dreams are prayers too.

Dreams are free, and hoping for a better way of life is the first step in the right direction. I'm sure your last posts have inspired a few to work towards making the dream-future come true.

honestly ed - don't stop to dream...your verse reminded me of a quote by Steve Jobs - he said: people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. so continue to dream that silly and crazy dreams - and you may change the world...who knows..

i'm certain there's a silly law somewhere that says such silly dreams are the law & everyone must dream them

I don't believe any dream is a silly dream. They are what we are made of. They propel us forward. Who cares if others don't agree. They are our own dreams, afterall. No one can take them away. Dream on.

Even if I'm crazy altogether, I agree with your dreams as well. Would be so nice if all came to pass.

I'm a silly dreamer as well. I have often said they should put all the politicians up in one hotel, feed them boxed lunches, and make them stay there until they can play nice and figure a way out of the mess they've made. I figure the ECONO LODGE would be the best hotel for that, right?

There are no 'silly dreamers.' I think Steve Jobs (who was undoubtedly called one a time or two in his life) would have agreed.

It's us dreamers who make the world tolerable for the rest of them. Keep on dreamin'. xo

If I didn't dream, then I don't know if I could stand to live.

Without our dreams to give us hope, what is there left.

It's fine that you don't do awards. I was a bit lost too when I was nominated, because there were so many 'rules' to follow but yes, I thought of you, your words always have depth and meaning. You make a difference in other people's lives. That means something.
Thanks for the comment to let me know.

Well, if you're a silly dreamer, then I am too!

World conditions and the political scene are rather overwhelming. But, if we don't "dream" of better things, they will never become a reality. Dreaming is the first step in making things happen. Keep dreaming!!! Mickie :)

Stephanie, I like your plan, but I think maybe Hotel 6.

Sigh, Ed.

Why can't everyone feel this?

That how we treat each other is how the world goes.

Whether we believe in the words of the bible or not. Whether we see them as literal, or guidelines for life, I can't shake the words in there of "therefore, I leave you with one another. Go forth and and encourage each other."

Dreamers shape the world, change the world...never stop dreaming. The song: Imagine by John Lennon came to mind, when I read this post. Your blog posts always get me thinking. Thanks Ed.

The silly dreamers are the ones who forsake their humanity for greed of power in the form of money and property. They're setting their ownselves up for implosion.

I am one of the biggest and the maddest of dreamers here alive on this earth. I dream about everything wild. What you just mentioned in your post was like some good piece of humor and perception :) :)

Nice blog :)

Cheers,
