Costume and Winning

Hi. I took a couple shots i really like: Natalie, dressed as a nun strolling along Hermosa Beach on Halloween, and Skylar, after her school's volleyball team upset a cross town rival last night and won a share of first place for the first time since 1987.

I LOVE the nun with the skateboard! It's just begging for a caption!

The varying emotions in the first photo are super. And I agree that the second one is begging for a caption!

Great to hear from you!

Love the Expressionism artistic touch in both these pictures - The heartfelt triumph and the fierce nun. (Hugs)Indigo

I love that expression you caught in the first shot!

The nun looks like she means serious business with that board :).

Ed, this...this exactly is what I love. Me, my long zoom lense...waiting, waiting while my eye grows into it's permanent shutter squint...crouching, willing my heart silent as I wait, wait, for the perfect expression, and therein, truth! Beautiful shot.

(word verification was "ouggrous". I like it. Should have meaning)

Yes! You'e posted!

I'm so happy to see something up here, and the photos are excellent. I love the anger vs determined look on the nun's face. It just makes me think she is swearing up a storm like, "those SOB's don't know who they're messin' with" vs the teenage girl's true awe at what she is seeing. Her face just reads, " I can't believe this is true."

We've all had these moments, where we see something happen so wonderful, we just can't believe it's true. This photo captures that.

So wonderful to see you, I can't believe you didn't let me know you posted. November 5? And here it is ten days later, and you snuck one in on me. And I thought I was doing such a good job of checking in.

Good to see you, truly.
