Working and living here and working on my draft of my animal shelter non-fiction narrative has consumed a lot of my fire lately. But I chased some light in the stairwell this afternoon after my nap in the closet and wanted to share. Looking forward to reading blogs this week.
I plan to add a couple more photos of the staircase over the next couple of days. Ten minutes of light wasn't enough to do justice.

nice photos! The the palm tree in the last photo. We don't have palm trees here in the Washington, DC area. :(
cool man...thanks for the inside look...nice painting on the wall too...
I love the light and shadows in your pictures...thanks for the tour :)
Lovely. The contrast throughout are stunning. Love the softness of the light that you've captured.
Stairwells are magical places. Your photos are inspiring, Ed.
These are so lovely. The light and angles are so interesting. I look forward to seeing more.
isn't there something magic about the light we see on the walls and other places? like if it's talking to us ...& it always leaves me with feeling of joy ... happy days!
Very nice pictures! i love chasing the sun light :) The warm feeling when it hits your face. Good luck with your book!
I glance and stare at the play of sunlight and shadows. It pulls me out of the usual reality for some time. Loved the photos.

this is not just any staircase this is so beautiful..! the wooden charm.. the glossy looks..!
Nice pics!
Looks like a lot of stairs, no wonder you haven't posted, take a lot of work climbing those..haha
Looks like the place has a lot of character, which i hope helps you write a very good book. Richard
Looking forward to more on your story.
And thanks for sharing some light.
I think you're a little too feline, sleeping in closets and chasing sunlight patches in the stairwell.
Sounds like a good time, actually. I think I'm jealous.
Beautiful photos, Ed. I love watching the sunlight playing on the walls in my home. It's a pure luxury I savor. xo
Your light is beautiful and we missed you.
Early 1900s building? I like it.
It's the little pleasures like sunlight in a stairwell that make life remarkable. I just had a window put in my kitchen and I swear it made my world brighter almost instantly!
Beautiful photos. No coming out of the closet comment today, other than saying I won't say it.
Love,
Lola
I think this would be a great place for a writer to live and work. I love the play of light in these photos. Take care, G

I thought I was the only one who chased light around the house with a camera!
cool that you're sharing a bit of your life with us..love the light play..i'm in brighton, UK at the moment for a few days of escape..enjoying the sea air...smiles
It looks peaceful and charming.
:)
It always amazes me how quickly the light changes. It's almost a photo you can never plan. You're either there at the right time, or you're wishing you were. Most often I see the perfect light when I'm driving on the freeway. Images click by as I wonder if I can pull over on the shoulder, or take an exit and find a vista high enough to capture what I saw two exits back. It frustrates the damn hell outta me!
Lovely captures Ed..
beauteous !!
PS: been away from blogosphere in past few days.. hope u doing fine !!
The light streaming in makes the pictures look even more beautiful :)
Mesmerising! Haven't seen something prettier and serene-r in a while.
I'd forgotten what lovely shots you take, Ed.
Missed ya!
Julie
Hi Ed, you haven't posted in a while so just popping in with a "hi" and a "how are you?"
Hey, ed,
Been underground for a few weeks. No new poems. This post is a perfect conduit for me to get moving again. The photos are wonderful - the way you capture the light. I love the palm.
Namaste..........cj
Cool shots! Stairs are such interesting subjects.
That's why it is recommended that you look for youth bed lofts designs that fulfill your most of the requirements. One good idea is to ask your child while making the choice. He or she will be in a better position to tell you their own requirements
